Ron Glickman is Senior Vice President and CIO for UTi Worldwide, a global supply chain solutions company based in Long Beach, CA. He is a global executive with a track record for leading innovative change programs, and delivering sustainable value from investments in business process transformation and enabling technologies. Ron has more than 30 years’ experience in the Retail, Distribution, Healthcare, and Consulting industries. In 2003, he was named a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader. Ron has been the Board Chair for Camp Kesem (CK) since 2004. CK is a national community that changes the lives of children whose parents have or had cancer and empowers college students to become our next generation of business and philanthropic leaders. When a parent is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family is affected. On top of the emotional stress and physical challenges of cancer treatment, worried parents seek support for their children, discovering that there are few support services available for children of cancer patients… until they find CK. CK is a free one-week overnight summer camp for children aged 6-13 and teens aged 14-18 who have or had a parent with cancer. CK heals hearts and grows minds. Ron joined CK to help the founder, Iris Rave-Wedeking, manifest her vision to make CK available to families coping with cancer nationwide. Ron was drawn to the opportunity to change the lives of children that are turned upside down when the joys of childhood are replaced with fears of losing a parent to cancer and change the lives of college student volunteers who want to make a difference now, while developing leadership know-how for tomorrow. CK was founded in 2000 at Stanford University, served 1,500 children of cancer patients at 23 college chapters in 14 states last summer, and will grow to 38 chapters in 22 states in 2012 thanks to a grant from LiveStrong®. Ron lives in Los Angles California with his wife and 2 children (when they are home from college). He holds a BBA from National University and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
