Randy Merry earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Montana State University in 1984. From 1984 – 1991, Randy worked for a number of technology startups, focused on telecommunications and industrial controls.
Randy joined Medtronic in 1991 as a software Engineer working on a variety of implantable device software programs. Between 1994 and 2001 Randy managed a number of different product development projects and teams; most notably Medtronic’s Patient Management CareLink system, that received recognition for Computer World’s Healthcare IT initiative of the year in 2000.
In 2001, Randy accepted the role of Vice President at Physio-Control, a Division of Medtronic. Since joining Physio-Control, Randy has taken on various leadership positions at Physio-Control; initially as the VP of Research and Development, then as the VP of the LIFENET business unit; and most recently as the VP of Product Development and Realization.
