Nordahl Brue Nord Brue is a Lawyer/Entrepreneur with wide ranging interests and a passion for improving things. For more than 20 years he has been studying Jungian Personality Type and applying the lessons learned to the enterprises he owns or controls as well as those he serves as a Director or advisor. He will share the story of how Franklin Foods used diversity of type in a structured process of innovation to invent a new patented product (Yogurt Cream Cheese) capable of taking on the 800 pound gorilla dominating their market sector. Some specifics of his career are set out below. Nord is Chairman of Franklin Foods, Inc. (dairy manufacturing,) Chairman of PKC Corporation (medical diagnostic and case management software,) Vice-Chair of Green Mountain Power Corporation (integrated electric utility,) and a Board member of Northern New England Energy Corporation (holding company for gas and electric utilities) and New World Angels (Florida based, early stage investment group.) During his varied legal career, he has been a private practitioner, judge advocate, house counsel, entrepreneur, inventor, real estate developer, educator, author, and director and advisor to business and nonprofit entities. In 1983, he founded Brueggers Bagels, which he grew to a chain of more than 300 bagel-themed, fast-casual restaurants. His civic involvement includes serving as Chair of Vermont Public Radio and a member of the National Council of Washington University School of Law. He is a Life Trustee of Grinnell College and past Chair of that Board. He has served as a member of the Vermont Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors and Council of Environmental Advisors and as a Director of the Shelburne Museum. He received his B.A. from Grinnell College and his J.D. from Washington University. Nord has published books on Retail Leasing and Recruiting and Retention in Retailingand articles in professional journals on personality type as well as presenting at international conferences on Type and has taught college level courses on Type in the Workplace. Nord lives in Delray Beach, FL with his wife Suzanne.
