Ken Berryman is the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development for BMC Software, Inc. In this role Berryman is responsible for BMC’s corporate strategy, global alliances, and M&A activities. He joined the company in September of 2010.
Prior to joining BMC, Berryman served in several roles at Symantec Corporation, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Emerging Businesses. In this capacity, he led a number of acquisitions for Symantec, including the acquisition of PGP and VeriSign’s authentication businesses. He also spent time as the leader of Symantec’s NetBackup product group, and drove the development of Symantec’s endpoint virtualization products. Before Symantec, Berryman was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led the firm’s North American software practice and worked with clients across a range of technology sectors.
Berryman holds a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford University, and an undergraduate degree from Harvard University.
